Dr. Weiss is a board-certified psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and psychopharmacologist with more than 40 years of clinical experience, and more than 30 years as a psychiatrist expert in legal cases.
Dr. Weiss’s interest in the connection between the mind and body began early. As a teenager, she became fascinated with how medicine, psychology, culture, and the humanities interrelate—a curiosity that continues to guide her work today.

Dr. Weiss completed her four-year psychiatry residency at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, San Fernando Valley training program, and later earned Board Certification in Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is now recognized as a Life Fellow of the Board.
For nearly 40 years, Dr. Weiss maintained a solo private practice in the same Beverly Hills office, providing psychotherapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and integrative mind-body treatments to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
She has also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA, contributing to resident education as part of the Voluntary Clinical Faculty.
Driven by her commitment to expanding therapeutic tools for her patients—especially those coping with chronic pain or persistent psychological challenges—Dr. Weiss pursued advanced training in clinical hypnosis through the Southern California Society for Clinical Hypnosis, a regional division of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
Her additional studies with the American Academy of Medical Hypnoanalysts allow her to integrate hypnotherapy and hypnoanalysis into traditional psychotherapy and psychoanalytic treatment when appropriate.
